活性碳是一种主要由含碳材料制成的外观呈黑色，内部孔隙结构发达、比表面积大、吸附能力强的一类微晶质碳素材料。主要处理有机废气:有机废气为含有C、H、O原子的分子结构，其特性为易挥发，熔点低，易燃烧甚至爆炸的危险性。
